Taking Back Your Power

Self-growth has always been an important part of my journey. Growing up, I always wanted to help people — not only those around me, but also myself. I’ve always been deeply invested in my own growth and healing journey. But along the way, I realized something important — how could I help others take ownership and build self-awareness if I hadn’t truly done that work myself?

The peak of my self-help journey began in college. Some say college is the best years of your life, but for me, it was the hardest. College was an eye-opening experience that brought many different aspects of my life to light. It was a true test of the strength and health of my relationships — and a wake-up call for the relationship I had with myself, and the role I played in every single one of them.

I learned to look in the mirror at myself rather than point fingers at those around me. For some, taking accountability or looking inward can feel daunting — but for me, it gave me a sense of power. When I took ownership and accountability, I realized that I was in the driver’s seat, not anyone else.

We spend so much time giving our power away — letting others influence how we feel, what we believe, and how we show up. But the most important thing I learned in college was how much control I truly have over my mind and my actions. I always knew my relationships mattered, but I didn’t realize how often I gave my power away to those around me.

Now, I want to help others take their power back by recognizing their own inner battles.

As a teacher, I preach daily to my students that you are only in control of yourself. You are responsible for your actions — and with that comes natural consequences. It’s funny because many of the things I teach my first graders are crucial life skills that most adults don’t even have.

That realization is what continues to guide me — as a teacher, as a coach, and as a human being — to help others build the kind of self-awareness and emotional strength that changes everything.

What if we all started teaching — and practicing — those lessons earlier in life? What would the world look like if we raised a generation who truly understood themselves?

If this message resonates with you — if you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, take back your power, and begin your own journey toward alignment — I’d love to walk beside you.
