Your Relationships Are a Mirror
Every single relationship we have has one thing in common — us.
Whether it’s with a friend, colleague, sibling, parent, or even a stranger, we are always the common denominator.
In our day-to-day lives, it’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing or how others make us feel. But when we pause to reflect on how we’re showing up — for ourselves and for those around us — that’s when we begin to truly understand the quality of our relationships.
How you see yourself, honor yourself, and respect yourself is exactly how you’ll do so with the people around you.
If you want your relationships to be loyal, supportive, trusting, and growth-oriented — you have to embody those things first.
We often expect so much from others, or ruminate on what they’re doing or not doing, that we lose sight of our own part in the dynamic.
When you catch yourself focusing on everyone else — blaming, comparing, or pointing fingers — I invite you to turn that reflection inward.
Ask yourself:
How can I become the person I’m asking others to be?
How can I show up as the version of me I want to receive?
Take a moment to notice your relationships — not through the lens of what others are doing, but how you are showing up within them.
Ask yourself:
What patterns or emotions do my relationships bring forward in me?
How do I speak to myself — and how does that echo in how I speak to others?
Where can I take more ownership or offer more grace?
The more you bring awareness to your own reflection, the more your relationships become spaces of honesty, growth, and genuine connection.
Because when you lead with alignment, the relationships around you naturally begin to mirror that same energy back. Every relationship holds up a mirror — not to show us where others fall short, but to help us see who we’re becoming.
